Joe DiMaggio Breaks P.C.L. Consecutive Hit Record Portrait
Prior to his brilliant career as a Hall of Fame center fielder with the New York Yankees, Joltin' Joe DiMaggio cut his teeth on Triple-A pitching, toiling with the San Francisco Seals of the Pacific Coast League. This Amazing 9" x 7" portrait photo comes in its original presentation cardboard photographer's folio frame, and best of all: it is the misspelled early version (commonly seen of California and his early days in the PCL) as "DeMaggio." By Boussum. This has the look of something for/from the family. EX condition. Comes with vintage wire photo of Joe's mother kissing the same photo. From May 27 to July 25, 1933, the Yankee Clipper got at least one hit in a PCL-record 61 consecutive games, a foreshadowing of his famous major league record 56-game hit streak that would come eight years later.
