Joe DiMaggio Original Artwork by Willard Mullin
This original 1947 news artwork done by master sports cartoonist Willard Mullin features DiMaggio being carried by Bucky Harris, Dan Topping, Larry McPhail and Del Webb, and reads, "Last year, Joe DiMaggio started out the Yankees grand tour of some 2,483 exhibition games (give or take a few hundred) like a house afire... and came up to the regular season the same way... burned out. This year, with a newly carved heel, the great DiMaggio, going strictly for the ride, should hit the opener in his old time form!" The piece measures 15x21" and is signed by Mullin at the bottom. It is in VG condition with typical editing marks.
