Joe DiMaggio Tip-Top Bread Pin
"Joltin' Joe DiMaggio" was playing his fourth season in the big leagues when this rare pinback button was issued in 1939. That year, "Joe D" batted a career-best .381, which was the tip-top average in the majors. Appropriately enough, the future Hall of Famer was a pitch-man for a tip-top company, as the 1 1/4" button reads: "WINNERS EAT WARD'S TIP-TOP BREAD." This difficult-to-find pin is in NRMT condition and a winner in its own right. DiMaggio would go on to win his first MVP award that special summer of '39, and it would be his fourth straight season in the majors that culminated in a World Series trophy. Tip-top indeed.
