Joe & Dom DiMaggio Photograph (PSA Type I)

Joe & Dom DiMaggio Photograph (PSA Type I)

Original Type I photograph capturing Joe DiMaggio and his brother Dom posing together at Fenway Park. The pair are pictured conversing on field, with Joe on the steps of the dugout, and Dom next to him on the outside, with both looking upward in the same direction. While Joe is the most noteworthy of the three DiMaggio brothers, his brother Dom bore the largest brunt of his shadow. Unbeknownst to most collectors today, Dom was an exceptional all-around player. Like Joe, he was an outstanding defensive center fielder, and he was equally adept at the plate, as his .298 lifetime batting average will attest. He was also selected to the All-Star Game seven times during his ten full seasons and helped lead the Red Sox to the American League pennant in 1946. Both players' names are written in ink on the reverse. The photo (10x8") displays a piece of clear tape on the reverse (not in repair of any tears), as well as a few light creases. Very Good to Excellent condition overall. PSA encapsulated as Type I Authentic.
