Joe Dugan 1927 New York Yankees World Series Ring
Stirring piece of memorabilia that connects our present to the most famous team of the past: the World Champion 1927 New York Yankees. Glittering gem was presented to Jumpin' Joe Dugan for his place on this team of immortals. Classic design bespeaks the glory of 1927. "New York Yankees World Champions" circles the front with the real original diamond in the center with lovely art deco "spokes" pattern. Both shanks are blessed with the American eagle (a fixture in the design of the original Yankee Stadium) with the every bit as American "1927" below. Inside his name is engraved "J.A. Dugan" with the stamp of 10k beside (most were 14k so this may have been made by him a bit later after the original was either lost or worn out). EX-MT. Obtained directly from Norwood, Ma., Dugan's hometown. An important cog in the greatest team ever; he was a key man on five Yankee pennant-winning teams.
