Joe Louis & Jack Dempsey Signed Baseball
Joe Louis and Jack Dempsey could often be seen during idle moments in the grandstand taking in baseball games. The two giants of the ring attached their valuable signatures to the same panel of this splendid baseball in different grades of blue ink. Dempsey's signature is the stronger, brighter one, grading 7/10, while the Louis is more faded though a quite readable, 6/10. The ball is a wonderful light gold tone marbled with white spots across the surface. Any stampings that may have been present are no longer visible. Appropriately, the only real damage is a soiled area that seems to be "bleeding" from the seams above the panel featuring the signatures.
