Joe Louis vs Buddy Baer I Full Ticket
On May 23, 1941 at Griffith Stadium in Washington D.C. heavyweight champion Joe Louis fought contender Buddy Baer (brother of Max) for the first time. Louis won the fight by disqualification in round seven. Louis was down in first, but Baer was down three times in sixth. The last knockdown of Baer was after the bell, according to Baer's manager, who then refuses to leave the ring, upon which Baer is disqualified. Offered here is a scarce, full, unused ticket for this event. This full ticket names the fighters and includes a section, row and seat number. Bold color and print. Not creased or torn. Generally clean. Minor edge and corner wear. Overall EX condition. Authenticated by PSA/DNA.
