Joe Montana Signed San Francisco 49ers Jersey (UDA)
Displayed is a Joe Montana Upper Deck San Francisco Forty-Niners' jersey that was autographed by the Pro Hall of Fame quarterback. As a collegian, Montana led Notre Dame to the National Championship in 1978. He then played 16 seasons in the NFL, the first 14 with San Francisco, and his final two years with the Kansas City Chiefs. Without an especially strong throwing arm, Montana relied on pin-point short and medium range passes, often utilized in a form of the West Coast Offense. Montana led the Forty-Niners to four Super Bowl appearances, all won by San Francisco. He was named the Super Bowl MVP three times, the first player to be so honored. Montana also holds the record for most passes completed in the Super Bowl without an interception, with 122 completions. Montana often appears on highlight films for his game-winning completion to Dwight Clark to defeat the Dallas Cowboys in the 1981 NFC Championship Game. He is also a 2-time NFL MVP. Montana had 3,409 pass completions for 40,551 yards, and a touchdown to interception record of 273-139. Joe also had an amazing 26 4th quarter comebacks and 28 game winning drives. The signed red mesh jersey has an NFL logo at the neck. On front is "16" in white sewn-on numerals. Each sleeve has a sewn-on white Wilson manufacturer's logo, and a sewn-on white "16." The bottom left outside tail has a Wilson manufacturer's tag that shows the size as "48." The back has red nameplate with "MONTANA" in white sewn-on block letters. Montana's number "16" is sewn-on the back in white numerals. Montana has signed the "1" numeral (of Montana's #16 on back), using a black marker. The jersey comes with the attractive original box and with the signed jersey's Upper Deck Certificate of Authenticity. On the bottom of the "6" of Montana's #16 on back is the hologram identification (BAE77276). The signed jersey is in excellent condition, and it makes a valued collectible that was signed by one of the NFL's all-time greats.
