Joe Nuxhall Youngest Player "Story" Ball

Joe Nuxhall Youngest Player "Story" Ball

Before he could even legally drink, vote or even drive, Joe Nuxhall was pitching in the major leagues. The southpaw pitcher, who still holds the Cincinnati Reds record for games pitched by a lefty, signed this intriguing baseball, inscribing the following story: "ON JUNE 10th, 1944 I PITCHED 2/3 OF AN INNING FOR THE REDS VS. THE ST. LOUIS CARDINALS. I WAS 15 YRS 10 1/2 MONTH (sic) OF AGE." He signed the official National League (Feeney) baseball: "WITH BEST WISHES, JOE NUXHALL" and it is in EX+ condition.
