After several failed attempts, by April 1930, Ham Fisher's comic strip about a heavyweight boxer who came to life gained enormous popularity and spun off several things including films. This high quality movie poster is adhered to a canvas backing which measures 43 1/2 x 78". The movie <b>Joe Palooka: The Champ</b> brought the character back to the silver screen after a multi year hiatus. This particular film debuted in 1946 and was the first in a series of 11 low-budget Joe Palooka films to be produced over the next five years. The poster is EX-MT quality with extraordinarily vibrant colors, considering the poster is over 60 years old. There are no visible flaws in the way of wrinkling or tearing of any kind.
