John Cooney's 1948 Boston Braves World Series Ring
Illustrious diamond ring from days of glory commemorates the 1948 National League Champion Boston Braves. Top is oval design with large diamond perched on top of red ruby, surrounded by the raised lettering, "National League Baseball Club of Boston, League Champions." Right shank is raised image of the Braves' Indian head with the year, "1948" above. Opposite shank is attractive baseball equipment design with ivy leaves on either side. Size 11 ring is engraved with the presentee, "John Cooney" on the inside along with the "Murchison 10k" stamp. Johnny Cooney was a coach for the 1948 Braves and interestingly this former player became the manager of the team in 1949. In beautiful EX-MT condition. From the Charlie Sheen Collection.
