Original, from the camera, cellulose negative of John Fitzgerald Kennedy. Measuring 5.5x3.75", this image depicts JFK seated behind a desk, microphone in the foreground. The photo is undated so we aren't certain, but Kennedy's youthful appearance would seem to indicate that this was before his election as the nation's 35th President; perhaps during his tenure in the Senate (1953-60) or even as a member of the House of Representatives (1947-53). Regardless, the prominent American flag and official looking setting would indicate that he was working in a political capacity. From the Brown Brothers photo collection.
