Highly desirable completely hand written letter from the elder statesman of early 20th century black baseball, John Henry "Pop" Lloyd. Content is in regards to a collector's request for photos of the Negro League superstar: "Dear Dan, Your letter has arrived and I will be happy to help you out with your collection. It sounds very interesting and I will be honored to be in a collection of such great players. Please make sure to send an envelope with your name and address on it so I can send the pictures back to you. Sincerely, John Henry Lloyd." Dated august 17, 1961. Written on a 5.5x8.5" piece of stationary. EX-MT.
