John Lennon "Double Fantasy" Platinum Record
It still hurts to know that John wasn't around to see "Double Fantasy" go platinum, but the album brings solace in the fact that, having grown to a mature man of 40 and learned to accept middle age and tap his sensitive side, John's heartfelt paeans to Yoko and his son Sean are arguably the best songs he ever wrote, including "(Just Like) Starting Over," "Beautiful Boy" and "Watching the Wheels." (Yoko's pop songs are another matter.)
