John Starks Collection including Bronze Statue and Autographed Jersey
The first item in this lot, a bronze statue, is one of three that was made of shooting guard John Starks. One statue belongs to Starks, one belongs to our consignor, and the third, here, is up for auction. It measures 9 1/2 x 5 x 14", and features Starks dribbling a basketball. He is wearing his number "3" on his New York Knicks jersey. The second item is a signed, framed jersey, which was given to our consignor. The piece comes with a photo of John Starks wearing the jersey (attached to the back of the piece). It measures 30 x 38" framed, and the Adidas jersey says, "John Starks Foundation, All Star Basketball Classic, Tulsa, Oklahoma." Starks has signed the piece, "John Starks #3." A basketball card of Starks is on the left side of the piece, while a card of Lee Mayberry is on the right. The Adidas sneakers were signed by Starks on the toes, with "John Starks #3," and are a size 12. Four programs included are from the John Starks Foundation, and are all signed by him, as well as a Spalding NBA basketball.
