July 16, 1941 Joe DiMaggio 56th Game Hitting Streak Program

July 16, 1941 Joe DiMaggio 56th Game Hitting Streak Program

A very important and tough to find program, this is from one of the most iconic records in baseball history, the 56th and final game Joe DiMaggio's hitting streak. The cover appears Very Good but for light pencil date of "7/16/41" and owner's name written on, it is partially scored in pencil and the date of "July 16, 1941" is written on the scorecard. There's some staining to the upper right corners of the last few pages and the back cover has a stain and small piece missing at upper right corner. Cleveland Indians reliever Joe Kraukauskas became the last pitcher to allow a hit in the streak, which ended the following day. The Yankees went 41-13 with a pair of ties during Joltin' Joe's tear, which included a .408 batting average, 15 homers and 55 RBI.
