July 4, 1910 Jeffries - Johnson Full Ticket Signed by Jack Gleason to Jack Skelly
The bright star of Reno, the old Palace Club was the mecca for that momentous James Jeffries vs. Jack Johnson fight. The commanding Johnson KO’d the “Great White Hope” James Jeffries, in the 15th round, in front of over 22,000 fans who came out to Reno, Nevada for that enormous event on July 4th. Amazing full ticket displays the faces of James Jeffries & Jack Johnson, along with Jack Gleason, & Tex Rickard (famed promoter of the time) who promoted the event. Ticket is made exceptional by the black fountain pen signature: “To Jack Skelly from Jack Gleason”. Signature is an 8/10. Ticket remarkably in Excellent condition except for some paper loss to three corners. 1/8” loss in top right corner. Measueres 2.75x6.5”.
