Ken Boyer Framed Photo from Cardinals’ Club
Ken Boyer was one of the most popular Cardinals ever. Quiet and steady, his brilliant play at third base – where he won five Gold Gloves – was matched by his productive bat. Boyer hit over 20 homers eight times and hit .287 lifetime. His MVP season in 1964 was climaxed by his clutch performance in the World Series against the Yankees when his two homers, a grand slam in Game Four and clinching shot in Game Seven fueled a world championship. This striking sepia-toned photo of Boyer that hung in the Cardinals Club dining area has a plaque below the image of him reaching for a grounder reading: “Ken Boyer Third Base, 1963 All Star Infield”. Photo is matted and gold framed to 33” wide and 39” long. EX-MT condition. <br>(Estimate $300 - $500)
