Kid Bassey Boxing Photographs from SFX Archives (20)
Hogan "Kid" Bassey from Nigeria won the World's Featherweight crown in 1957 by his defeat of French Algerian Cherif Hamia in Paris, France. He followed this with a win over Ricardo Moreno in 1958 and subsequently lost the title to U.S. fighter David S. "Davey" Moore on March 18, 1959. This collection of SF Examiner photos (20) are mostly 8" x 10" in size and consist of images from and relating to the above mentioned bouts as well as his encounter with Miguel Berrios. Images average EX-MT in condition.
