Knute Rockne & Pop Warner Signed Football Humidor
Smoke 'em if you got 'em! This unusual football-shaped humidor on dark wood base is actually made from a hollowed-out Spalding official collegiate football with the Spalding logo stamped into the leather. The stitching remains at the top of the ball, which has been cut in half laterally and opens on a hinge. The humidor measures 10.5" x 7"; the wooden base measures 8 x 6" and sports a plaque reading "JOHN W. POTTER COMPLIMENTS OF CHRISTIE WALSH." The humidor contains the signatures of Knute Rockne, Glenn "Pop" Warner and Tad Jones. Each has made a notation of his school and all rate in the 5-7 range out of 10. The interior includes a small smoking setup for matches, and the lid lifts off for an area to hold cigars. The second owner - Buddy F. Baraks - has written his name on the underside of the lid in pen. This is one of a few known examples to exist and it is in EX condition.
