Kobe Bryant Left Wrist Cast from 1996
This cast was worn by Lakers guard Kobe Bryant after fracturing his left wrist on Labor Day of 1996. He broke his wrist in a pickup game at Venice Beach before the start of the rookie season and was forced to miss some of training camp that year. After removing the case, the Lakers' team orthopedist gave it to the club's PR director, who stored the cast. With the opening of the STAPLES Center in 1999, the team moved its offices to El Segundo, CA, and the PR director gave our consignor, who held many roles in the Lakers' PR department, this cast. It measures almost 12" in length, and well, it's an injury-used cast by Kobe Bryant. LOA from the Lakers' then-Assistant Director of Public Relations.
