Beautiful image of Lou Gehrig batting during one of the 1928 barnstorming games in which he played with Babe Ruth. On the heels of the success of the powerhouse 1927 Yankees, the "Bustin' Babes" and "Larrupin' Lous" took their act across the country, packing venues and raising a great deal of money for charity. Original, one of a kind, from the camera cellulose negative measures 7x5" and was taken by a Brown Bros. photographer, as this is part of their vast archive.
