Late 1930's Joe Papa Notre Dame All-American Football Sweater
Navy blue wool ribbed knit cardigan sweater has gold chenille "ND" Notre Dame logo sewn to the left breast. Within the diagonal bar of the "N" is "AA" (All-American) in white thread. The inner right facing of the center front is affixed with a felt nameplate chain-stitched, "Joseph Papa" in gold. Manufactured by King Sportswear Company, the size "48" sweater exists today in EX-MT condition.
