Late 1930's Johnny Mize Game Worn Uniform

Late 1930's Johnny Mize Game Worn Uniform

Home white jersey and pants makes this one of the very few full Mize uniforms on earth. Cooperstown-ready beauty is the earliest Mize we've handled as well, dating from the first third of his Hall of Fame career. Birds and bat take their customary place along side the "Cardinals" on the chest, with Mize's number "10" on the back. "Rawlings [size] 46" tagging in collar. Enormous "J. Mize" stitched in red script in tail. Pants have full "John Mize" stitched in red inside waistband and great team repair in right knee and on the back of both legs. Jersey is lightly stained with a few small moth holes, but still displays very well. Obviously, the importance of this matched pair cannot be overstated.
