Late 1930s Mickey Cochrane Game Used Bat

Late 1930s Mickey Cochrane Game Used Bat

This late-1930s game-used Louisville Slugger baseball bat belonged to Hall of Famer Mickey Cochrane. Measuring 34.5 inches and weighing 36.8 ounces, the bat has suffered a crack approximately nine inches from the knob. The crack was long-ago repaired quite cleanly using a number of nails and staples, which are visible on the side of the bat opposite the Louisville Slugger branded logo. The knob features a faded number "3" in black ink - the number Cochrane wore for the Detroit Tigers from 1934-1937. Finally, "Mickey Cochrane" is etched in cursive near the end of the bat, parallel to the Louisville Slugger logo.
