Late 1940s Tommy Thompson Philadelphia Eagles Game Worn Jersey
Vintage Philadelphia Eagles jersey worn by quarterback Tommy Thompson, circa late 1940s. While we can't date it exactly, the Eagles started with this style in 1944 and used it into the mid-1950s. Thompson played for the Eagles in 1941, 1942, and 1945-1950, and as he was the only player to wear #11 when they had this style jersey; we can pinpoint use to some time in the 1945-1950 era. Shows excellent use with a handful of holes and a few team repairs, durable white cotton jersey has number 11 sewn on front and back, and crotch piece has been removed. Despite being blind in one eye and missing time due to military service, Thompson led the Eagles to three straight NFL Championship games, including victories in 1948 and '49.
