Late 1970s Marcus Allen USC Game Worn Jersey
Marcus Allen was a superstar at the University of Southern California, and he won the won the 1981 Heisman Trophy. Displayed is a late 1970s Marcus Allen game worn USC jersey. Allen played at USC from 1978-81. In his first season, the USC Trojans won the National Championship. In four seasons as a running back, he rushed for 4,582 yards, a 5.2 average. He scored 45 touchdowns rushing and caught 79 passes for 721 yards and another touchdown. In his great 1981 season, Marcus ran for 2,342 yards, only the second time an NCAA player had run for over 2,000 yards in a season, and he scored 23 overall touchdowns to lead the nation in scoring. Allen became a 16-year professional in the NFL, playing 11 seasons for the Los Angeles Raiders and five seasons for the Kansas City Chiefs. As a pro, he rushed for 12,243 yards and scored a total of 145 touchdowns. Among his many NFL honors, Allen was a member of Los Angeles Raiders team that won Super Bowl XVIII, and he was the game's MVP. He was also the NFL MVP in 1985. The offered mesh jersey is cardinal red, with gold and white trim. A gold number "33" is screened on both the front and back. On the lower left front is a Russell Athletic tag that shows the size as "46" and gives washing instructions. The sleeves have gold and white stripes. The jersey shows light use, and it is in excellent condition.
