Late 1980’s-Early 1990’s San Francisco 49ers Game Worn Jerseys (3)
Three great jerseys emanating from the team of the 1990’s and three of its most important players: 1. Joe Montana’s white mesh road jersey. The league’s #1 all-time QB, whose excellence led the 49ers to win a league record-15 games in 1984 (including all 8 road games). Jersey with hisl #16 on the front, back & sleeves. Signed in black felt tip on the “1” on back. Official NFL logo patch embroidered at the V-neck on front. Wilson’s “W” embroidered on left sleeve. Front tail tagging is “Wilson” with “[size] 46 FR” flag tag. “Montana” has been removed from the back by the team. 2. Roger Craig white mesh road jersey. He became the first NFL player with 1,000 yards in both rushing and receiving in the same season (’85). Jersey with his #33 in red tackle twill on front, back & sleeves. Wilson’s “W” embroidered on left sleeve and the official NFL logo patch on front at the V-neck. Name removed from verso. No additional tagging. 3. Steve Young red mesh home jersey. White numbering & lettering: #8 on front, back & sleeves. “Young” across the shoulder blades. Wilson tag with care instructions on inside left seam. All three jerseys show heavy game use.
