Rijo spent 10 of his 14 Big league seasons with Cincinnati, and while he was with the Reds, he was highly effective. In his 10 Cincinnati seasons, Rijo had a record of 97-61, with a 2.83 ERA. Rijo's lifetime peak performance came i the 1990 World Series. he started and won two games for the Reds, with a World Series ERA that season of 0.59, and he was named the 1990 World Series MVP as the Reds swept the Oakland A's. The attractive jacket was worn by Rijo between innings or while he was warming up. There is a Rawlings size 46 tag in the collar. The jacket is signed in the front, just under the Reds' logo. Rijo signed and inscribed the jacket "Jose Rijo M.V.P. 1990 W.S." The jacket shows nice wear, especially on the metallic button snaps. The jacket serves as a fitting remembrance of both Rijo and the Cincinnati Reds when both were reaching a peak.
