LeRoy Neiman

LeRoy Neiman "The Maulers" Serigraph

Leroy Nieman takes the viewer right into the heart of the ring action in this striking "The Maulers" monochromatic Seriograph/Lithograph. The fighters' faces are hidden in the shadows. Nieman is illustrating the art of fighting, not the skill of any particular individual. This technique allows Nieman to focus the viewer's attention of the force behind the punches in the ring and on muscles operating in the mutual mauling exhibited. The muscles of the fighters' legs and arms are fully extended in their attacks. These are two fighters in the prime, both on the attack. The faces in the crowd are totally absorbed in the furious action. A notable work by one of the world's premier abstract sports artists. Limited Edition #99/120. Measures 46x31"
