Lot of 7 Signed Letters Including 4 Cole Porters, Aaron Copeland, Feuer and Martin, and Billy Rose

This lot contains seven typewritten letters dated between 1951 and 1965, all written to composer Irving Schlein and signed by various luminaries of the music industry. Four of the letters are from the great Cole Porter; the earlier two (dated 1951 and 1952) are signed "Cole Porter" in blue while the latter two (both dated 1957) are signed simply "Cole" in black ink. The letter from producer and lyricist Billy Rose is dated 1951, typed on the letterhead of the Ziegfeld Theatre, and signed in ink. Then there is a short note, dated 1955, from composing team Cy Feuer and Ernest Martin thanking Schlein "for your kind words for the opening of Silk Stockings." That one is signed "Cy and Ernie" in blue ink. Lastly, there is a1965 letter from composer Aaron Copland typed on his own letterhead and signed in blue ink. All of the signatures are bold and clear, grading 7s and 8s.
