Lou Gehrig Memorial Ticket Stub and 1940 World Series Stub

Lou Gehrig Memorial Ticket Stub and 1940 World Series Stub

Few professional athletes were memorialized more than "The Iron Horse." This lot includes two such examples of that: The Lou Gehrig Memorial stub from July 4, 1941 - exactly two years after his "Luckiest Man" speech at Yankee Stadium - is in VG-EX with Good color and a clean Portrait of the Hall of Fame first baseman. The Briggs Stadium stub from Game 3 of the 1940 World Series is in EX condition. The host Detroit Tigers defeated the eventual World Champion Cincinnati Reds, 4-3 in that game.
