Lou Nova Boxing Photographs (22)
In 1941, Californian, Lou Nova, unsuccessfully challenged the great heavyweight Joe Louis. Nova, best known for this defeat, is himself a member of boxing's hall of fame. He is the subject of this (22) wire photo lot. The earliest images here show a young Nova in the late 1930's as he embarks on his pro-career. They follow him until 1965 where he is pictured using an isometric machine of his own invention, the Yogi Nova. Photos are front captioned or have their original caption sheets affixed to versos. Condition ranges from VG to MT. Sized from 6.5 x 8.5" to 8 x 11.5".
