This is the intro for items C11670 and C11671 <i> Hollywood on Broadway</i>Marionettes by Frank Paris and Sky HighchiefFrank Paris and Sky Highchief are two of the most respected and talented Master Puppeteers and Puppet Artisans of the last 50 years. Frank Paris was Buffalo Bob’s predecessor and can be credited with the creation of the NBC Puppet Show that eventually became the <i>Howdy Doody Show</i>. The <i>Hollywood on Broadway</i> puppets were used in television variety specials of the same name which aired in the 1970s. The puppets, originally numbered 65, and were created with all the magic of the Paris and Highchief team expertly mimicking the most famous of Hollywood stars. Exceptional detail and artistry in the likenesses, faces, bodies and accessories raise what was considered a craft to the highest art form. Mae West <i> Hollywood on Broadway</i> MarionetteAbsolutely gorgeous marionette, dressed in a black & silver sequined gown ending in an abundance of ostrich feathers, with layers of crinoline underneath. Mae is dressed with exquisite detail, from the diamond rings on her fingers to her red polished nails, to the jeweled silver high heels on her feet. The gown shows much cleavage as she continued to do even at the age of 70. Measures 36” and is in EX-MT condition.
