Magnificent 1898 Football Club Photographic Collage by Notman
Perhaps the most impressive football photograph we have seen. Front and center pictures the Montreal team dressed to the nines in the equipment of the day. Below it reads, "Montreal Football Club 1898." To the right and left are football action scenes and the Montreal Challenge Cup trophy displayed at the top. Surrounding all if this are scores of the individual heads of all of the members of this men's club. Photograph is by the stellar Canadian firm of Notman who did some the most amazing work of the period. Thier work is highly collected here and in Canada and it does not have to be of a sports theme to sell for serious dollars.
