Rare Man Ray signed lithograph of three encased female nudes certainly accomplished his goal to "amuse, annoy, bewilder, mystify and inspire reflection." The quintessential modernist put his name and heart to this impossible limited edition with "3/75 III" in his handwriting, Ray's avant-garde spirit imbues every inch of this 17 1/2 by 22 1/2 print featuring a noose swirling in front of the women, who appear trapped on some kind of platform. The orange, beige and brown give it earthy heft. Pencil signed it does have a repaired tear through the signature but is o/w EX.
