This photograph is a print of an original photo that was taken in 1965 of dancers Margot Fonteyn and Rudolf Nureyev dancing the pas de deux in the Royal Ballet company production of "La Bayadere" during its tour in the U.S. The black and white print measures 11x14" and has various stamps and notations on the verso. This image was used in Life Magazine on June 11, 1965 (page 105) in a piece headlined "Ballet Boom: NY State Theatre" and comes from the Time Inc. picture collection.
