Marilyn Monroe

Marilyn Monroe "Don't Bother to Knock" Large Standee (1952)

Marilyn Monroe is undoubtedly America's original cover girl. She is beloved not only here in the United States but worldwide, and is perhaps one of the most recognizable women in 20th century pop culture, just like the Standee calls her ...The most talked about girl in America today. The Standee measures 65" tall and 24" at its widest part and advertises the 20th Century film Don’t Bother to Knock starring Monroe and Richard Widmark released in 1952 and co starring a handful of Hollywood stars at the time. The condition of the Standee is EX with only some minor age spotting at the bottom of the display and a bit of wear along the bottom edges as well. The color is vibrant and bold, quite remarkable for a vintage 1950's standee, and the iconic image of Monroe in a sultry pose is classic. The standee is professionally framed to an overall size of 41 x 70”. This is a rare and exciting opportunity to own a piece of Marilyn Monroe memorabilia from the early 1950's.
