Marilyn Monroe Early 1950s Contact Sheet by Philippe Halsman
Black and white contact sheet, phenomenally rare from early in the career of both the photographer and Marilyn herself. On the back is the photographers stamp with the phone number Endicott 2-9670, the use of area codes started in 1951, so this dates this sheet to the early1950s. Sheet has 12 revealing poses with Marilyn dressed in a low-cut blouse, every inch the sex goddess, but more interestingly we can see the little girl lost in some of the more introspective shots of our Miss Marilyn. Sheet measures 8 x 10”, and is EX.
