Maris' 61st Home Run Ball Caught by Sal Durante Photograph (PSA Type I)
Original Type I photograph of Sal Durante catching Roger Maris’ historic record-breaking 61st home run at Yankee Stadium on October 1, 1961. The ball can be clearly seen in the right hand of Durant’s outstretched arm as he holds on tightly amid a throng of fans who are also vying for it. Two Brown Brothers credit stamps appear on the reverse, along with a handwritten caption in pencil describing the scene. The photo (10x8”) remains in Very Good to Excellent condition.
