Mark McGwire 61st Home Run Autographed Lineup Card

Mark McGwire 61st Home Run Autographed Lineup Card

This is the actual lineup card that hung in the St. Louis Cardinals' dugout on 9/7/98, the day that Mark McGwire tied Roger Maris' single season home run record of 61 in a game against the Chicago Cubs. McGwire's 61st homer came in the first inning of the game off pitcher Mike Morgan. The lineup card is signed by 12 members of the Cardinals team, including McGwire and all of the other players who played in the game that day. Also included in this lot is a 9/8/98 copy of the Dallas Morning News with a banner McGwire headline and front page photo of McGwire hitting his 61st, and a copy of the Christie's auction catalog where this item was first offered as an addendum to the November, 1998 auction. LOA.
