Original Type I photo capturing Martin Luther King Jr. posing on the tarmac at an airport. Three Brown Brothers credit stamps appear on the reverse, along with the affixed original paper news caption, dated June 17, 1961. According to the caption, King, who was president of the Southern Christian Leadership Conference, was about to board a plane to Los Angeles to deliver a speech at a Civil Rights fundraising rally. the photo (7.25" x 10") displays light creasing throughout and an area of adhesive residue on the reverse. In Very Good condition. Culled from the legendary Brown Brothers Photo Archive. PSA encapsulated as Type I Authentic.
