Massive 1940s "King Kong" 8-Foot Tall Carnival Ball Toss Game

Massive 1940s "King Kong" 8-Foot Tall Carnival Ball Toss Game

Folk Art 1940s carnival game, this eight foot high (97") wooden painted of a "Mighty Joe Young"-style, King Kong iconic carnival sign, is actually a ball toss game. This is a premier carnival piece so desirable that a group followed the seller around Brimfield, in order to become the eventual "lucky owner" of the sign. Two balls are held in Kong's hands worth 25 to 50 points; an over-enthusiastic patron broke his bottom teeth, otherwise in pretty nice condition. You do not have to display the entire "Kong" as it is in two pieces and you can just show the upper half. He has a great face, and this is truly Americana at it's finest.
