Mel Ott Signed Index Card (PSA)
Index card signed by Hall of Fame outfielder and 500 Home Run Club member Mel Ott. PSA has encapsulated the card and certified the signature as "Authentic." Ott's signature, which appears on the lined side of the card, has been scripted in blue ink and grades 9/10. Mel Ott died in 1958 at the age of forty-nine and as a result his signature remains the scarcest of all the 500 Home Run Club members. This card is part of a much larger signature collection compiled by our consignor's father in the late 1940s ("The New England Autograph Collection"). All the items from the collection are featured in thirty-one separate lots in this auction, including many prominent Hall of Famer autographs. The index card (5x3") displays a few light surface wrinkles and is in Excellent condition overall.
