Men Playing Poker Turn Of The Century Stein Club Tin Sign

Men Playing Poker Turn Of The Century Stein Club Tin Sign

An amazing collaboration of selling points in this beautiful tin litho advertising sign. Features a gentleman’s club with five well to do men, dressed immaculately and seated at a round table, smoking cigars and playing poker, presumably for very large stakes. Many chips of different colors in the pot and it’s probably going to be a particularly lucrative hand for one of the fellows. One gentleman has his back to us but the other four seem supremely confident in the cards they are holding. Either that or they are just masters of the poker face and among the best at their craft. The stereotypical black waiter from the era leans over with a freshly opened box of Stein cigars while a slightly portly fellow carefully selects his stogie. Upper left portion reads “Stein Club” and across the bottom, just below a chilling bottle of champagne in a bucket is “All Havana Cigars.” Where else could these cigars be from aside from Cuba? Condition is NEAR MINT with a few miniscule scratches that are only visible at very close range. Tin is 28 X 20” and frame is 30-1/2 X 22-1/2.” All told this piece is a home run on all counts and would look great hanging in your establishment.
