Mickey Mantle, Allie Reynolds, Johnny Mize Signed Oversize Photograph (JSA)
Displayed is an oversized (15x19.5" - visible) black & white photograph featuring three all-time New York Yankee greats: Hall of Famers Mickey Mantle and Johnny Mize, and star Allie Reynolds. Mantle, with 536 home runs, is the switch-hitter with the most four-baggers in history. Mantle's two-way race with teammate Roger Maris for Babe Ruth's single season homer record of 60 was the stuff of legend. Mantle was a 3-time AL MVP, he won a Triple Crown, and he was a part of seven New York Yankees World Champions. Johnny Mize was 6'2" and 205 lbs, very big for his era. Born in Georgia, Mize was a distant cousin of Ty Cobb, and his second cousin married Babe Ruth. Johnny, known as "The Big Cat," was a first baseman who played six seasons for the St. Louis Cardinals, and 4-plus seasons for both the New York Giants and the New York Yankees. The 10-time All-Star was a 5-time World Champion. He batted .312 lifetime, with 359 homers and an outstanding .959 OPS. Allie Reynolds was a right-hander who pitched 13 Major League seasons (1942-54), his first five seasons with Cleveland and the rest of his career with the Yankees. Reynolds finished with a lifetime record of 182-and-107 and a career ERA of 3.30. His best season was 1952 when he went 20-8, with a league-leading ERA of 2.06 with a league leading strikeout total of 160. He was a 6-time World Champion and a 6-time AL All-Star. The three signatures were written with a blue, felt-tip marker. The signed photo is matted at approx. 19x23.5". There is some very tiny paper loss on the left side of the matting. The autographs are 9/10 and the signed photo comes with a JSA Letter of Authenticity and JSA sticker.
