<p>This is an important hand-painted one-of a kind oil on canvas over silkscreen painting by important pop artist Steve Kaufman. Vibrant colors depict the historical moment of the most famous home run in Mickey Mantle's career - his 565-foot home run at cavernous Griffith Stadium in 1953 as a 21-year old phenom. Most importantly, this very painting is the one that Mickey Mantle was presented by the artist and came from the Mantle Estate. In original frame it is 40x40" and signed by the artist on the verso, it comes with COA signed by Merlyn, David and Danny Mantle; as well as an auction LOA from JSA for the Kaufman signature.Steve Kaufman (1960-2010) is the former assistant of Andy Warhol and is regarded as one of the most important pop artists. His works today are in the Warhol Foundation, White House, Smithsonian, Van Gogh Museum & Marilyn Monroe Estate.
