Mickey Mantle Uniform From the Movie 61
No, it’s not an actual full uniform worn by Mickey Mantle, but worn by actor, Thomas Jaynes in the filming of the hit movie, 61. Perfect replica New York Yankees home pinstripe jersey is adorned with the Yanks “NY” logo on left breast and Mantle’s classic #7 on verso. Uniform is complete with matching pants including black leather belt, white socks & navy stirrups. No tagging. Cap is a size 7 ? and is tagged with “American Needle since 1918”. The actor was only provided with two pinstripe and two away uniforms due to a shortage of matching material. At the conclusion of filming, the actor was given one set by the studio for his own use, making this the only Mantle pinstripe uniform from that creation. LOA.
