A rarely seen combination of sports and Disney, this 3 1/2 x 6" envelope of the philatelic Los Angeles Cover Club marks the 45th Tournament of Roses in Pasadena on January 1, 1934 with. America's favorite rodent in cleats and pads, pigskin under his arm, charging upfield with a smile. Underneath is the inscription "Remember, Boys! Select Mickey Mouse Athletic Goods for your team. They'll help you win -- Mickey (D-M Co.)." Columbia's 7-0 Rose Bowl win is also noted. The FDC stamp from Chicago's Century of Progress exhibition is a striking light purple.
