Mid 1960s Larry Siegfried Boston Celtics Fleece Warm-up Top
Fleece warmup top worn by backup Celtic guard Larry Siegfried in the mid-'60s will give the shivers to those old enough to remember how seeing Russell, Havlickek, Jones, et all, in them during pre-game shootarounds in Boston Garden put the fear of God (aka Red Auerbach) in opponents before the first jump ball. Siegried, the former Ohio State star, probably didn't need the help, as he went from scrub to a starter later on in the decade. Then again, as Red might've said, it couldn't hurt. Snow white fleece has "Celtics" in green and gold across front and a green nameplate with "Siegfried" in gold on verso. Four-leaf clover patch on each sleeve, green and gold piping on neck and sleeve ends, tan buttons. "Wilson" tag in collar with size "44" flag tag and another tag too worn to be read. 100% original, no repairs. Preserved beautifully in EX-MT condition. Just like the Celts' tradition.
